It all began at a Chase* ATM in 2018. At the time, there were no Chase locations within a 10-mile radius of Washington, D.C. When I discovered that Chase had newly expanded in the area, I hurried over, eager to withdraw some hard-earned cash. To my surprise, the closest branch had installed a new ATM machine with an updated withdrawal process: remove card, get cash. This simple change in procedure was revolutionary to me; it prevented people aka me from forgetting their card at the ATM and future heartaches. It was on that day that I realized how powerful great UX was and how I wanted to help others.
